AQEEDAH-FAITH

And whoever fears Allah - He (Allah) will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.

Allah helps you, none can overcome you; And if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their trust

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said:: If you were to rely upon Allah with the required reliance, then He would provide for you just as a bird is provided for, it goes out in the morning empty (stomach), and returns full. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2344)

QURAN 3:185, 57:20 The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (comfort of illusion).

QURAN 13:26 Allah increases the provision for whom He wills, and restricts (it for whom He wills), and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of this world as compared with the Hereafter is but a BRIEF (little) passing enjoyment.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: By Allah, this world in comparison to the Hereafter, is like one of you dipping this' - and he pointed with his forefinger -'into the sea; let him see how much he brings back.

QURAN 2:216 But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: How wonderful is the case of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him; If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer. (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #7, Hadith #7500)

QURAN 3:150 But ALLAH is your protector and He is the Best of Helpers.

QURAN 8:40 Be sure that ALLAH is your protector. Excellent is the Protector and Excellent is the Helper.

QURAN 22:78 He (ALLAH) is your Protector. Excellent is the Protector and Excellent is the Helper.

QURAN 4:48, 4:116 Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Amulets and Tiwalah (charms) are polytheism. (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #4, Hadith #3530)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Whoever ties up his beard, or twists it, or hangs an amulet, or cleans himself (after relieving himself) with animal dung or bones, Muhammad has nothing to do with him. (SUNAN NASAI Vol #6, Hadith #5070)

It was narrated from ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Aamir al-Juhani that a group of people came to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and he accepted the allegiance of nine and refrained from accepting the allegiance of one. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, you accepted the allegiance of nine and not this one.” He said: “He is wearing an amulet.” He put his hand in and took it off, then he accepted his allegiance, and said: “Whoever uses an amulet has committed shirk (has associated partners with Allah).”(MUSNAD AHMAD Hadith #16969)

QURAN 12:106 And MOST of them believe not in Allah except while they associate partners with Him (Commit Shirk).

QURAN 18:102 Then do those who disbelieve think that they can take MY SERVANTS (Prophets, Angels, Pious-persons) instead of Me as PROTECTORS? Indeed, We have prepared HELL as an entertainment for the disbelievers.

➨ QURAN 16:20-21 Those whom they invoke (ask) besides Allah create nothing and are themselves created. They are DEAD, NOT ALIVE, nor do they know when they will be raised up.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: SHIRK among you will be more subtle than the footsteps of an ant. (SAHIH AL JAAMI Hadith #3731) (SAHIH AL ADAB AL MUFRAD Hadith #551)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Whoever suffers from destitution (neediness) and he beseeches (ask) the people for it, his destitution shall not end. And whoever suffers from destitution and he beseeches Allah for it, Allah will send provisions to him, sooner or later. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2326)

➨ QURAN 3:185, 21:35, 29:57 Every soul shall have a taste of death.

➨ QURAN 4:78 Wherever you are, death will find you out, even if you are in towers built up strong and high!

➨ QURAN 6:61 At length, when death approaches one of you, Our angels take his soul, and they never fail in their duty

➨ QURAN 62:8 Say, Indeed, the death from which you flee - indeed, it will meet you.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Frequently remember the destroyer of pleasures,’ meaning death. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2307)

➨ QURAN 94:5-6 So, indeed, with every difficulty, there is relief: Indeed, with every difficulty there is relief.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: A slave (of Allah) shall not believe (in Allah) until he believes in Al-Qadar (Destiny), its good and its bad, such that he knows that what struck him would not have missed him, and that what missed him would not have struck him. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2144)

➨ QURAN 6:43 Satan made ATTRACTIVE to them that which they were doing.

➨ QURAN 6:44 So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their ENJOYMENT in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them to PUNISHMENT, and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows.

Narrated: Thawban Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “I certainly know people of my nation who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the mountains of Tihamah, but Allah will make them like scattered dust.” Thawban said: “O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us and tell us more, so that we will not become of them unknowingly.” He said: “They are your brothers and from your race, worshipping at NIGHT as you do, but they will be people who, when they are ALONE, transgress the sacred limits of Allah.” (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #5, Hadith #4245)

➨ QURAN 18:110 Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God (ALLAH). So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord

➨QURAN 4:48, 4:116 Indeed, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases, and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Messenger. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #4, Hadith #3445)

➨ QURAN 2:143 Thus, have We made of you an nation justly balanced

➨ PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: "May the extremists perish," three times. (SUNAN Abu Dawud Vol #5, Hadith #4608)

➨ PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Religion (Islam) is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #1, Hadith #39)

➨ QURAN 9:111 Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Whoever

1) Gives for the sake of Allah,

2) Withholds for the sake of Allah,

3) Loves for the sake of Allah,

4) Hates for the sake of Allah, and

5) Marries for the sake of Allah, He has indeed perfected his faith. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2521)

➨ QURAN 1:5 (O Allah) You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help.

➨ QURAN 3:160 If Allah helps you, none can overcome you: If He forsakes you, who is there, after that, that can help you? In Allah, then, Let believers put their trust

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: The invocation of anyone of you is granted (by Allah) if he does not show impatience (by saying, "I invoked Allah but my request has not been granted.") (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #8, Hadith #6340)

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. When you ask, ask Allah, and when you seek help, seek Allah's help. Know that if the entire creation were to gather together to do something to benefit you- you would never get any benefit except that Allah had written for you. And if they were to gather to do something to harm you- you would never be harmed except that Allah had written for you. (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2516)

“Tell me about belief (iman).”The Prophet (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) replied, “It is to believe in

1. ALLAH;

2. The Angels;

3. The Revealed Books;

4. The Messengers;

5. The Last Day of judgement

6. Destiny—its good and bad.”

➨ QURAN 51:56 And I (ALLAH) did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: By his good character a believer will attain the degree of one who

1) Prays during the night and

2) Fasts during the day. (SUNAN ABU DAWUD Vol #5, Hadith #4798)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is

1) Like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or

2) Like him who performs prayers all the night and

3) Fasts all the day. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #7, Hadith #5353)

➨ QURAN 5:48, 6:165 (ALLAH) may test you in what He has given you.

➨ QURAN 11:7 And it is He (ALLAH) who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water - that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed.

➨ QURAN 67:2 (ALLAH) who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving.

➨ QURAN 2:155 And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said:

1) No fatigue,

2) Nor disease,

3) Nor sorrow,

4) Nor sadness,

5) Nor hurt,

6) Nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that. (SAHIH BUKHARI Vol #7, Hadith #5641)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath. (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #5, Hadith #4031)

➨ QURAN 2:286, 65:7 Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope (capacity). He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: "It is not for the believer to humiliate himself." They (companions) said: "How does he humiliate himself?" He said: "By taking on a trial which he can not bear." (SUNAN TIRMIDHI Vol #4, Hadith #2254)

➨ QURAN 3:159 Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in ALLAH, certainly, ALLAH loves those who put their trust (in Him).

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive to do that which will benefit you and seek the help of ALLAH, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say: "If only I had done (such and such), then such and such would have happened," rather say:

" QADDAR ALLAHU MASHAA'A FA'AL (Allah has decreed and what He wills He does)." For; "if only" opens the door to the work of the Shaitân. (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #7, Hadith #6774)

➨ QURAN 31:34 No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things).

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: Whoever goes to a fortune-teller (Arabic: Arraf) and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights. (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #6, Hadith #6821)

► PROPHET MUHAMMAD (saws) said: It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (saws), the soothsayers (Arabic: Kaahin) used to tell us things that we would find to be true.' He (saws) said: 'That is a true word that the JINN snatches and throws into the ear of his friend (the soothsayers), but he adds a hundred lies to it." (SAHIH MUSLIM Vol #6, Hadith #6816-6819)

Khalid Al-Madani, said: “We were in Al-Madinah on the Say of 'Ashura and the girls were beating the Daff and singing. We entered upon Rubai' bint Mu'awwidh and mentioned that to her. She said: 'The Messenger of Allah (saws) entered upon me on the morning of my wedding, and there were two girls with me who were singing and mentioning the qualities of my forefathers who were killed on the Day of Badr. One of the things they were saying was:

“Among us there is a Prophet (saws) who knows what will happen tomorrow.” He (saws) said: “DO NOT SAY THIS, FOR NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW EXCEPT ALLAH." (SUNAN IBN MAJAH Vol #3, Hadith #1897)
